How Crabtree Well Drilling Began
Back in the 1960s, many people in our community relied on dug wells. When those wells started drying up, families needed a better answer. Jerry Crabtree saw the problem firsthand.
Jerry bought an old drilling rig, taught himself how to use it, and drilled his own well. He hit water right away. Before long, neighbors started coming by asking for help because Jerry’s well had water and theirs did not. That is how Crabtree Well Drilling started. It was not built from a boardroom. It was built from problem-solving, hard work, and a willingness to help the people nearby.

Jerry was naturally technical. He understood machinery, figured out how to weld pipe, learned how to drill, and kept improving with every job. That kind of hands-on knowledge became the foundation of our company.
Mike Crabtree began working with the business in 1986, spending summers on the drilling rigs and learning the trade the right way. In 1992, Mike earned his drilling license, passing all of his licenses on the first try. Shortly after, he was able to buy his 10-acre ranch, a milestone that reflected years of hard work and commitment. Our experience is not theoretical. It comes from decades in the field, solving real water problems for real families and businesses.
